Obituary of Mamie Dell Carter

Mamie Dell Carter, age 76, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the University Good Samaritan Center in Minneapolis. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, April 2 at the Spielman Mortuary. Mamie Dell Carter was born November 15, 1935 to Joanna and Jessie Moore in Meridian, Mississippi. On March 21, 2012, she was called home after her ongoing struggle with cancer. Mamie was the beloved sister of Robert, Charles, J.W., Irby, Janie, Claire, and Johnny-Ray. In 1959, she married John Carter in Kasans City, Kansas. The couple later moved to Minnesota where she resided until her death. Along with her husband, Mamie is also survived by three daughters: Angela, Mamie, and JohnnyMay; five grandchildren: Eboni, Andria, Daniel, Jontea, Jasmine; and three great-grandchildren: Najaree, Danielle, and Damari. Mamie, whom was commonly known as Mrs. Carter, was a strong spirited, kind-hearted, caring woman. She worked hard to raise her family and care for her household. She will be remembered for her loving ways, playful attitude, strength and beauty. Mamie will forever live in the hearts of those that she loved and those that loved her in return.
