Obituary of Harriet Nancy Young

H. Nancy Young, age 61, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at her home in St. Paul. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, March 1 at the Spielman Mortuary with the Reverend Carl Walker, officiating. Private Inurnment Nancy graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1968. In her younger days, she had an interest in basketball and belly dancing. She grew up in a Pentecostal church. As an adult, Nancy was an avid traveler and had traveled to many places between Alaska and Australia. She even had the pleasure of traveling to the site of her favorite movie, "Somewhere in Time." She loved to cruise around the world on luxury cruises, going on one at least twice a year. Nancy loved her shoes and purses, and she was a truly classy woman. She was interested in family genealogy, reading and relaxing in her beautiful garden, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a dedicated collector of many things like black memorabilia and coins. She walso enjoyed working for Ramsey County, building close relationships with many co-workers over the past 15 years. Nancy was loved by many and will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure of getting to know her.
