Obituary of Melissa Thai Thach

Melissa Thai Thach Age 48 of Saint Paul, MN Sunrise on October 10, 1972 Sunset on September 19, 2021 Melissa T. Thach was born in Soc Trang, VIETNAM. She was the daughter of Lan Thach and Bien Nguyen, she and her family immigrated to the United States in 1994 In the new country she was studying and working hard. She took special care of her father for over 10 years after his stroke. Most recently she attended barbering school, graduated, and practiced her new trade at Art's barber shop in Roseville. Melissa will always be remembered for her beautiful smile. She loved being a treasure hunter and her favorite pastime was antique shopping and going to thrift stores. However, her biggest pride and joy was her son, Tommy. Unfortunately, she struggled with the cancer for almost 4 years and peacefully left on September 19, 2021 in the morning with family and friends around her. Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Lan Thach. She is survived by her son, Tommy Nguyen; mother, Bien Nguyen; brothers and sisters, Mong (Sy Thai) Thu, Luan Thach, Minh (Brian Hatch) Thu, Long Thach, and Nhi Bui; special friend, Mike Mickelson and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 1-7PM, Tuesday, September 28th at Spielman Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM, Wednesday, September 29 at St. Columba Catholic Church.
