Obituary of Trixy Ann Minnifield

Trixy Ann Minnifield was born on February 26, 1971, to Virginia Haynes and Willie Johnson in Chicago Illinois. She was a happy child who enjoyed talking and singing. She attended Dunbar High School where she graduated and received her high school diploma. As an adolescent she enjoyed shopping. Jewelry was one of her favorite things to purchase. You can say Trixy enjoyed the finer things. Many would say being around her would give you a boost in positivity. Trixy Minnifield lost her battle to cancer and departed this earthly life on March 30, 2020. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband David Minnifield; sisters, Renee and Trina Haynes; brother, David Haynes. She leaves behind her mother and father, Virginia Haynes and Willie Johnson; her 5 children, Jasmine Haynes, Jarvis Haynes, Jamesia Sullen, Da’je Poindexter, and Davida Minnifield; daughter in law, Candy Rice; her grandson, Keenan Lamar Giller-Haynes; her brothers, Rodney, Reggie and Patrick Haynes; her sisters, Stacy and Robin Haynes, her loving husband, John Kelly; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and a special companion James Sullen to cherish her memories. Visitation 12:00 (Noon) - 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18th at the Spielman Mortuary. In accordance with Health Department regulations only 10 people will be allowed in the mortuary at any time. Please be respectful and limit your time in the mortuary. If you have a face mask we ask that you wear it while inside.
