Obituary of Lucille Johnson

Lucille Johnson age 82 of Saint Paul, passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2020. Lucille was born on May 20, 1938, in Duncan, MS to the late Jannie Ethel Johnson and Charles Harris. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Allen Johnson; sister, Pastor Patricia Johnson; and nephew, John Johnson Jr. Lucille is survived by sister, Darlene Moore; nephew, Marcell Johnson (partner Michelle); nephew, Montrell Moore; niece Sahani Windom (spouse Corey); niece, Roshelle Giles (partner Ernest); niece, Elisabeth Giles; niece, Lisa Johnson; niece, Terri Johnson; niece, Ashuna Moore; cousin, Jacie Tyler (partner Chris); and all of her grand nephews and nieces. As a teen, Lucille accepted Jesus Christ as Lord over her life. She graduated from Mechanic Arts high school in 1957 and went on to work for Rothchild’s department store in Saint Paul. She later worked for Donaldson’s department store, Whirlpool Corporation and finally retired from Fairview Health Services in 2004. She served as an Usher of Mount Olive Baptist Church and was a member of The Red Hat Society. She greatly enjoyed bowling and taking cruises and other excursions throughout the United States. She was a loving mentor and caregiver to family and friends who depended on and gave her their full trust. She will be greatly missed but is relieved of her pain. She is now resting in the arms of the Lord. Visitation 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Monday November 2nd at the Spielman Mortuary, 344 W.
