I knew Margaret from living at Cedars Lakeside. I enjoyed our talks about everything, and we had the same politics. She did not mince around about what she thought. It was refreshing. I also dared her to pinch Zack in the butt in the office once. Zack worked there too. He is in his 20's I think. It was hysterical watching Margaret chasing Zack around the office. She got him good too! Technically I guess these days that is considered inappropriate. I suppose management can take up the issue in Heaven ... if they dare. LOL.

Mrs. Hughes was short in physical statue however she was a tower of a woman of class and standard that exuded from Her being. Her presence demanded greatness and a try again from those she graced with Her presence. Her commitment to her family and the African American community will not soon be gotten. I celebrate this giant of a woman's life and legacy.

My best friend, my heart is breaking for you right now. I can’t tell you how sorry I was to hear that Pat is no longer here, but she will never be forgotten. She was a kind and loving woman. I will always have fond memories of her (always having Schweppes in the fridge). She was an amazing mother and wife who raised two wonderful children. Words, no matter how kind, can’t mend your heartache. However, those who care for you wish you comfort and peace of mind. I know you will find comfort in those around you. My prayers are with you and Leslie.
